Trenton Florida real estate still has some of the most reasonably priced property available in the state. Located just 30 miles west of the city of Gainesville, Florida and the great University of Florida, this serene area is welcoming people from all over the country to the Florida Nature Coast.
Trenton Florida is located in Gilchrist County, a small county of only 348 square miles. The city of Fanning Springs, Florida and the town of Bell, Florida are also located here. Our area is rural and agriculture still pays a large part of our economy. However with the larger city of Gainesville nearby and the smaller City of Chiefland there are many employment opportunities especially in the health care and service industries.
We are family oriented and our school systems again this year have an A/B rating. School officials here are eager to know you and your child on a personal level and provide you with the piece of mind that larger schools cannot offer.
Outdoor recreation is key in our area. Gilchrist county is bordered on the west by the world famous Suwannee River and bordered on the north by the Sante Fe River. The county has a high concentration of natural springs many of which are open to the public. Hart Springs, Blue Springs and Fanning Springs State Park are all great places to cool off on a hot day. The Nature Coast Trail State Park is a 31.7 mile paved trail for runners, bicyclists, skaters and horseback riders and begins at the Historic Trenton Florida Train Depot. This trail connects Gilchrist, Levy and Dixie counties. All year round our area is alive with home town festivals. Chiefland Florida Watermelon Festival, Fanning Springs Red Belly Days and Antique Car Show, Bell Florida Christmas Parade are just a few.
Real estate has really picked up in our area. We still have some of the greatest places to live at affordable prices. This year our local realtors@ have sold over $18,900,000.00 worth of residential property and over $12,500,000.00 worth of lots and acreage. Prices on homes are selling at 10% lower than list price and lots and acreage are seeing a 17% decrease. Average days on market are about 250 days or more.
If you are thinking of buying or selling property in my area please give me a call anytime at (352) 222-0427. I am available at your convenience whether it be nights, weekends or holidays.
I would love to show you my home town and answer any questions you have about the area or just real estate in general. If you would prefer I can be reached by e mail at barbarajmayo@aol.com
Hope to see you soon!
